ΠεριγραφήΚορινθιακό εξάλειπτρο (αγγείο για μεταφορά υγρών ή αρωματικών ελαίων). Στους ώμους υπάρχει γεωμετρική διακόσμηση με γλωσσωτό μοτίβο και ταινίες. Το υπόλοιπο σώμα είναι άβαφο, εκτός από ταινίες στο κάτω μέρος του, τη βάση και την άνω επιφάνεια της λαβής. Το σώμα εσωτερικά καλύπτεται από γάνωμα (βερνίκι που αποκτά χρώμα κατά το ψήσιμο). Description
ΠληροφορίεςCorinthian exaleiptron (vessel for transporting liquids or aromatic oils). On the shoulder there is a geometric decoration with a tongue pattern and bands. The rest of the body is unpainted, except for bands on the bottom, the base and the upper surface of the handle. The interior of the body is covered with glaze (that took its colour after firing).
Corinthian exaleiptra were exported to various regions of the Greek world, where they were usually used as votive offerings (offerings to the god) or grave goods. In Corinth, however, they are usually found in houses.
Τα κορινθιακά εξάλειπτρα εξάγονταν σε διάφορες περιοχές του ελληνικού κόσμου, όπου χρησιμοποιούνταν συνήθως ως αναθήματα (προσφορές στο θεό) ή κτερίσματα σε τάφους. Στην Κόρινθο, ωστόσο, τα συναντάμε πιο συχνά σε οικίες.
