ΠεριγραφήΤριφυλλόστομη οινοχόη (αγγείο σερβιρίσματος κρασιού με στόμιο σε σχήμα
τριφυλλιού) με καπάκι. Συνεχής σπείρα περιβάλλει το κάτω μέρος του λαιμού, ενώ
τρίγλυφα και μετόπες αποτελούν την κύρια διακόσμηση στον ώμο του αγγείου. Οι
μετόπες διακοσμούνται με ρόδακες εγγεγραμμένους σε κύκλους και σβάστικες ως
παραπληρωματικά μοτίβα. Ακολουθεί ζώνη με στικτούς ρόδακες ανάμεσα σε κάθετες
τεθλασμένες γραμμές. Η επιφάνεια του υπόλοιπου αγγείου καλύπτεται από μελανό
υάλωμα, με εξαίρεση την εδαφόχρωμη ταινία με τις παράλληλες γραμμές στη μέση
του σώματος. Μικρές πινελιές με χρώμα διακοσμούν το καπάκι του αγγείου. Geometric period
Description
ΠληροφορίεςTrefoil-mouthed oenochoe (wine jug) with lid. A continuous spiral
surrounds the lower part of the neck, while triglyphs and metopes are the main
decoration on the shoulder of the vase. The metopes are decorated with wheel
pattern rosettes and swastikas as filling motifs. This is followed by a band of
dotted rosettes between vertical broken lines. The surface of the rest of the vase
is covered with black glaze, with the exception of the ground-coloured band
with parallel lines in the middle of the body. Small brush strokes of paint
decorate the lid of the vase.
During the Middle Geometric period (850-760 BC), the decorative bands were
extended, limiting the black glaze, which covered the biggest part of the vases
surface. The decorative themes are rendered within metopes, while new
decorative motifs make their appearance.
Κατά τη Μέση γεωμετρική περίοδο (850-760 π.Χ.), οι διακοσμητικές ζώνες διευρύνονται περιορίζοντας το μαύρο «χρώμα», που κάλυπτε την μεγαλύτερη επιφάνεια των αγγείων. Τα διακοσμητικά θέματα αποδίδονται μέσα σε μετόπες, ενώ νέα διακοσμητικά μοτίβα κάνουν την εμφάνιση τους.
